Suggested Maintenance Producedure:
1. Operate at the lowest possible temperature. Operating at temperatures execeeding 470℃ dramatically increases the formation of iron oxides, which results in accelerated tip failure.
2. Tip cleaning sponge is one of the most common cleaning methods. While you are soldering, you can wipe the tip across a sponge to wip off any excess solder, dirt, or oxides. Make sure to use only pure cellulose sponges.
3. Add rosin core solder of adequate diameter(0.8mm, or larger) to the working end of the tip regularly.
